Why Maths is necessary for Physics?
Physics is an exact science. Each physical quantity is capable of measurement and hence a numerical value can be attributed to each physical quantity. Thus the physical quantities are just like the quantities of mathematics and hence they are amenable to all the rules of mathematics. In physics the laws of nature are expressed in terms of equations involving various physical quantities and to solve these equations rules of mathematics are employed. Therefore, to study physics certain minimum knowledge of higher mathematics is essential. Keeping this objective in view, we will study mathematical concepts along with physics.
In class 11 current NCERT books, there is lacking of study material of some basic concepts related to Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology, so CBSE has issued study material named linked study material for class 11. Students are advised to see these study material, which are very helpful in understanding the physics of class 11.
